Indeed, it was our intention in this volume to present no other works than those pertaining to the exposition of the Old and New Testaments, and those that are known to be written by Ambrose, if you only exclude the other Davidian Apology. However, when considering the number of spurious treatises that we have decided to publish at the end of the following volume, we feared that the same amount of effort would become even greater. Therefore, we thought that some additional supplement should be added to this first one.
